Volunteering

Volunteering is essential to support Haitian rural women and girls in their struggle for gender equity and their most human basic human rights. Regarding the resources that our movement requires to implement our projects in Haiti remote villages, it is virtually impossible to raise enough money to acquire to cover all the expenses, but with volunteers of all age groups and occupations , we can achieve results that would make a positive and lasting impact in the lives of these women and who desperately need our support and solidarity. We also welcome all male volunteers who are willing to support our struggle for gender equity and women rights.

What is volunteering?

Volunteering is an unpaid activity that one has chosen to do freely within an institution or community to help a cause or people. Volunteering should not be restricted to one category of people. Everyone can do it regardless of age and abilities. It is accessible to all: young people, adults, managers, employees, craftsmen, the unemployed and people of all strata and social, cultural, political and economic groups. Volunteering is a formal commitment (a contract) for a limited time.
