Guiding Principles

We work collaboratively with female community leaders, local government, local and international non-profit organizations committed to ensure that all peasants fully enjoy our basic human rights.

Openness, honesty accountability, and transparency with all women, regardless of their affiliation, creeds, and social orientation..

We conduct extensive research before developing a project; and monitor and evaluate a project during and after its implementation.

We are committed to running this Alliance of Rural Women according to feminist perspectives and our beliefs in social justice.

We implement only projects that are based on consultation with beneficiary communities as we believe they are in a better position to know what their pressing needs are.

Local ownership and active involvement of women and girls in projects are the cornerstone of successful and sustainable outcomes

We refrain from projects or activities that perpetuate dependency and kill creativity among women and girls

We provide technical assistance required to the women so they can sustain effectively all projects implemented in our communities.

We consult with local community members and local authorities and require both verbal and written consent before initiating any project.

We receive donations or contributions from all individuals and organizations interested in helping to move Haitian women into the 21st century.

We are committed to providing accurate and timely reports to our stakeholders in Haiti and abroad.

We respect the customs and traditions of each communities and are committed to learning from our experience.

We are committed to learning from the experiences of individuals and organizations that promote computer literacy in Haiti and across the globe.
